People always love a free giveaway, and it encourages them to sign up for your mailing list, newsletter, etc. You could give away a free report, a free e-book, a free on-line utility that may solve someone’s problem (these are popular) or even a free newsletter. (Bonus tip: If the visitor signs up for your mailing list or newsletter, you have a better chance of them being a customer because your name will always be in front of them.)

  1. Offer your visitors a chance to make money. People always love money-making opportunities. If you have an affiliate or reseller program, you can both benefit.

  1. Offer a community where visitors can participate and interact with others of the same interest. You can do this with a blog or chat groups, or even just a comment section on your website.

  1. Offer visitors a place where they can share the information with their friends. When people find something they like, they often don’t hesitate to let their friends know about it too. And, this will bring you increased visitors to your website as well.

  1. Make ordering from your website as easy as possible for your visitors. Give them as many ordering possibilities as you can so they can choose the method that is right for them. Also, be sure to make them feel safe when they are ordering. Tell them that you will not share their e-mail address and that all their personal information will be kept confidential.

  1. Always list the benefits to your visitors of the products you offering before listing its features. People want to know ‘what’s in it for me’. If possible, include guarantees and testimonials in your ad copy.

  1. Supply website content relevant to your site—things that your website visitors will be interested in. Offering fresh and interesting content will attract visitors in droves. If you give your visitors the information they are searching for, they will return to visit your site again and again.

  1. Always remind visitors to return to your website. People respond better when a ‘call to action’ is made. You have to tell them what you expect them to do. A simple ‘Please visit us again’ is sufficient, or tell them that the site is up-dated with new material regularly.

Your website visitors come to your site to get information or some other sort of satisfaction that they are hoping you will provide. If your visitors are happy with what you have presented them, whether it be information or a product that they are looking for, they will return to your website another time. And each time they return, you have a better chance of them becoming your customer. So, it is a good idea to keep your website visitors happy.
